Distilled in December 1974, this exceptional whisky has been nurtured across generations, its preservation a deliberate act by those who recognized its potential through the decades. Each custodian chose to hold it back, allowing it to mature far beyond the usual cycle — a living testament to Glen Scotia’s enduring legacy. This release is more than a whisky of remarkable age; it is a time capsule, capturing the essence of Glen Scotia’s past.

The presentation of this whisky is as distinguished as its contents. Encased in a handcrafted oak display box, the design draws inspiration from traditional Spanish azulejo tiles—ornamental motifs that once adorned the bodegas and bars of Seville and across the Iberian Peninsula in the 18th and 19th centuries. Beneath the bottle rests a matching oak tile bearing a plaque with the bottle’s unique number, tasting notes, and the story behind this rare expression.

In collaboration with Glencairn, each bottle has been individually etched and infilled, featuring gold metal detailing across its body and shoulder. A weighty metal stopper provides the final touch to this truly exquisite presentation.
